Part of being involved with Wish Granters is seeing a Wish come true, and that is always exciting for me. Part of being involved with Wish Granters is when you lose a person who has already had their Wish. It's hard, but you know a Wish has happened, and you know the family has that memory. But the worse part is when you lose someone before the Wish happens. Sometimes it just happens much quicker than anyone expected. I just learned we lost Lawrence to Cancer before his Wish happened. We were working on it, in fact the person who was helping us with it was going back out there Monday to finalize what had to be done.
If you know of someone with a terminal illness who should have a Wish, don't wait to call us, give us as much time as possible. But it's also important for us to have the funds in the bank to do the Wish. Please support us by attending our events, or making adonation on our web site http://www.wishgranters.org/, please give what you can.
Time is something we don't always have a great deal of.

This is why donations are so important!!!
Yesterday afternoon around 4:30, I received a call from a woman telling me about her mother who has Lou Gehrig’s Disease and is in the hospital. Her Wish is to see her son and three grandsons who live in Florida before she passes. I talked to her doctor’s office and found out that we needed to move quickly on this Wish.
By shortly after 5:30 we had talked to the son in Florida and had made reservations for them to fly to Boise to see their Mom and Grandma. They will be here shortly after 11 tonight.
Thank you to those individuals, businesses and foundations that have made contributions recently, because without those contributions, this Wish would not have happened. I am asking anyone who can, to go to www.wishgranters.org and make a donation of whatever amount you can to Wish Granters, you know what you are able to do. You can also mail one to Wish Granters at 1365 N. Orchard #252 Boise, Idaho 83706.
There are other Wishes we are working on and there will be other emergency Wishes as well. You can help them happen, you can make a difference. Feel free to call me at 377-9029 with any questions.

Been awhile
Sorry, it has been awhile since I posted anything. Lots of Wishes happening for adults with terminal illness here in the Boise area. Just had a family get back from Disneyland, and another one today back from a Wish to go to Arrlington National Cemetery. Coming up another Disneyland Wish from a young man with terminal Cancer who wants to go with his small children before he is unable to. We have a young woman with terminal Cancer who wants to go to New York city with her 14 year old son, and a Grandfather with Terminal Cancer who wants to fly his Grand Daughter in for Christmas. Plus a bunch more we are working on. Check out our web site at http://www.wishgranters.org/ for a more complete list.
