Some sad news today, Robert passed away last Thursday. His Wish for a flat screen TV happened just three days before he passed. Robert had told me that his favorite television shows were cowboy shows. His wife told me today that he was watching Gun Smoke when he passed away.

This is why donations are so important!!!

Yesterday afternoon around 4:30, I received a call from a woman telling me about her mother who has Lou Gehrig’s Disease and is in the hospital. Her Wish is to see her son and three grandsons who live in Florida before she passes. I talked to her doctor’s office and found out that we needed to move quickly on this Wish.

By shortly after 5:30 we had talked to the son in Florida and had made reservations for them to fly to Boise to see their Mom and Grandma. They will be here shortly after 11 tonight.

Thank you to those individuals, businesses and foundations that have made contributions recently, because without those contributions, this Wish would not have happened. I am asking anyone who can, to go to www.wishgranters.org and make a donation of whatever amount you can to Wish Granters, you know what you are able to do. You can also mail one to Wish Granters at 1365 N. Orchard #252 Boise, Idaho 83706.

There are other Wishes we are working on and there will be other emergency Wishes as well. You can help them happen, you can make a difference. Feel free to call me at 377-9029 with any questions.

Sorry, it has been awhile since I posted anything. Lots of Wishes happening for adults with terminal illness here in the Boise area. Just had a family get back from Disneyland, and another one today back from a Wish to go to Arrlington National Cemetery. Coming up another Disneyland Wish from a young man with terminal Cancer who wants to go with his small children before he is unable to. We have a young woman with terminal Cancer who wants to go to New York city with her 14 year old son, and a Grandfather with Terminal Cancer who wants to fly his Grand Daughter in for Christmas. Plus a bunch more we are working on. Check out our web site at http://www.wishgranters.org/ for a more complete list.

Wayne

Just found out we lost Wayne on Monday. His Wish had been a wood shed, which was completed in June. His wife had passed away just a few days before he did. Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families. At this point we have two Wishes that will happen in November and at least two more in December. You can help these and other Wishes happen by going to http://www.wishgranters.org/ and making a donation.
